Presidential Prayer Watch Update
(Please see an urgent request for prayer from Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj in this update)
The Fight of the Century
Recently I was awakened with the phrase ‘the fight of the century’ in my mind. Soon I remembered how that was the title used for the initial boxing match between undefeated heavy weight champion’s Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali. The fight took place March 8, 1971 at Madison Square Garden and would decide who would reign as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
Largely due to the buildup, the fight drew interest and was watched around the world. It was reported how even the political turmoil and rioting taking place in Norther Ireland at the time temporarily came to a standstill because almost the entire nation was tuned in to the fight. After fifteen electrifying rounds Joe Frazier would be crowned as the winner of the Fight of the Century by a unanimous decision.
Reliving and remembering that moment in my living room watching the fight with my dad was a pleasant memory. However I was fully aware that what the Lord was saying to me was how what is taking place in this hour is without a doubt our fight of the century, and the stakes could not be higher. I was reminded how in this current fight only one winner will come out on top. Therefore we must fight (in prayer) so as to win.
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it” (I Cor 9:24).
In Daniel 9:18-19 we find this prayer: “O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city (nation) and Your people called by Your name.”
If you continue to read the chapter you will see that while Daniel was still praying and confessing his and the sins of his nation, Gabriel came with a promise of how his prayers would be answered. In this hour we must have nothing less.
Daniel was praying out of a desperation and an expectation that could not be denied. There was no alternative. It was God or total destruction. After settling the issue how there was nothing righteous he or anyone had done that would bring about God’s salvation, Daniel cried out for the great mercies of God!
Daniel’s prayer could be broken up into: Lord, hear; Lord, forgive; Lord, act; and Lord, You must act now! Daniel knew it was going to take an act of God to save his nation and there could be no more delay. Believe me when I say the situation is just as desperate today as it was in Daniel’s.
In addition to the scriptures we have been praying here are some additional ways we can pray at this time:
I recently heard from Brother Sadhu how God has given him an urgent word for the president involving impeachment and what the president must do to escape this plan/plot of the enemy. He is requesting to meet with the president personally, and after hearing more of what Brother Sadhu has heard from the Lord I agree such a meeting must take place.
First, please agree with me that God will open the door for a meeting to occur. I have knocked on the doors I personally am aware of and am even more convinced that such a meeting will take an act of God. However, God can do it.
Secondly, I received another warning from a member of the prayer watch of an additional attempt to take out the president during the Christmas season. The dream she shared with me occurred during at what she described as a Christmas party. Please join with me in agreement that every attempt to harm the president will fail as every attempt has failed so far.
Third, please continue to pray that justice will be served to those who have committed treason against this nation and are behind the current coup attempt to remove the president. However, should man fail to do their jobs pray God will not. Pray that regardless of what men might or might not do the wheels of God’s justice will roll.
Some might be tempted to ask, what about the mercies of God? Shouldn’t we pray for mercy for the wicked? Desperate times require desperate prayers. The truth is God’s justice experienced while someone is still alive is a form of His mercy! This is in regard to the people who would have the opportunity to repent now and for the land that it too might be delivered from evil.
Remember Isaiah 26 where we have and continue to pray: “Let grace be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord. Lord, when Your hand is lifted up they will not see”. As you read on in the context of Isaiah 26 you will find how it’s through the judgments of God the land is freed from the dominion of any other master or tyrant. Sometimes the only way to remove what’s bad is by shaking whatever it is you are having trouble with. When the shaking really begins we are going to be amazed as to what we see falling out. That refers to the nation and the church as well!
Fourth, it’s also important to note that when God’s judgments come to rid the land of evil that you and I remain in peace and in a place of His protection. There is obviously much more to this subject but you can read this for yourself by reading the entire chapter of Isaiah 26 into chapter 27.
A key verse in this hour can be found in Ezekiel 22:22. “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one”.
Our prayer is for the nation. But at the same time gather like-minded intercessors in your own city and region and begin to build the wall by crying out for your area such as Daniel did in the verses mentioned earlier. Ezekiel 22:22 refers to a nation but also specific areas/cities/regions in the nation.
One time I asked the Lord why so many people from various locations believe they are living in a place of refuge. He answered with, wherever My people make Me their refuge they are living in a place of refuge! Let’s do that in our own cities.
Here in Wilkes County, NC we are currently building what we believe will soon be a 24/7 canopy of prayer over the county. We call it the Day2Pray Wilkes County. If you have not, begin doing something like that in your county!
Fifth, all of us know the impeachment hearings are an absolute scam. However if a lie continues to be repeated eventually many of the innocent will began to believe it and even demand something happen (like impeachment). Remember it’s been said by the left how they must impeach the president to keep him from winning reelection.
It’s important to remember how you cannot continue to play with fire and there not be a danger of that fire getting out of control. America’s enemies are fully aware of this. Let’s continue to pray that those who are building the gallows for the president, as was the case with Haman, will themselves be hung on what they have planned for him. Proverbs 29:16 reminds us, “When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increases; But the righteous will see their fall”. Let’s stand on that promise!
