(Update – 2/26/2019 – ‘The Righteous Acts of the Saints’
[Thank you for taking the time to read this short but important update]
Presidential Prayer Watch Intercessors,
It’s been almost a month since the last update and I want to remind you of a few important items and share a quick and I believe timely message from God’s word regarding our intercession.
First, we have updated the suggested prayer points which should serve as a starting place for our intercession. These are located on our web site at presidentialprayerwatch.com
Second, we have begun a monthly Night Watch that takes place the first Friday of each month. If you’d like to join in THIS FRIDAY NIGHT/SATURDAY MORNING, MARCH 1st from midnight to 6 AM email Linda at for information and to obtain access.
Third, some of you have asked if we got our 90 men for the Mighty Men Prayer Call and I am excited to report we currently have 70 men that have chosen to be a part. We have dropped the ‘90’ and these are just what they are called to be, ‘Mighty Men’ based on the verse we shared with you from Zechariah 10:5, “They shall be like mighty men, who tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets of the battle. They shall fight because the Lord is with them.”
As those committed to keeping our hands on the plow (Lk 9:62) and staying in the fight for President Trump and our nation, I want to remind all of us of what is written in the book of Revelation and is specifically relevant to this calling.
“And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints” (Rev 19:8).
Our first thought after reading this verse could easily focus on the righteousness imparted to us because of the Lord’s sacrifice on the cross.
Basic to our faith is the truth that all of our righteousness is as filthy rags and in our belief, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (II Cor 5:21). But that is not what Revelation 19:8 is about. This verse speaks of something you and I are called to and is currently being played out as we speak.
During what will certainly be the most challenging and difficult times on the earth, a people, (ordinary saints), will come forth whose lives and testimony will actually defy the times.
These will unashamedly and unmistakably “have the testimony of Jesus” (vs 10). They will not only be righteous because of their trust in the shed blood of Jesus, they will do acts of righteousness. Along with the Acts of the Apostles that is included in the Scriptures, so there will be the acts of the saints that will be observed and celebrated by the great cloud of witnesses in heaven.
The previous chapter, Revelation 18, gives us a glimpse of what was taking place during a time when the spirit of Babylon and all that is associated with the Antichrist will seem to prevail upon the earth. Even though this season will be short-lived, still its sorcery, deception among the nations and persecution against the saints will be more evident and intense than at any other time in history. Yet it is in this context where we find the reference to the righteous acts of the saints being recorded.
Reinforcing this theme is the promise of Daniel 11:32 where we find, “but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits”. We must not forget how this promise, which is often quoted from pulpits today, is spoken in the context where wickedness is on the rise and where many are falling by the “sword (war) and flame, by captivity and plundering” (Dan 11:33). Regardless, those who really know their God will, as this verse is also interpreted, display strength and take action.
Persevering in prayer in the face of resistance from the world, the flesh and the devil and in the midst of great hardship is one example of what will become known as the righteous acts of the saints. This is what you and I have been called to in this hour and what will be even more so in the days to come.
God bless each of you for being a part of the Presidential Prayer Watch! Thank you for staying the course or, if is the case, getting back into the fight.
