Presidential Prayer Watch

December 18th, 2019 – Update

Impeachment and Imprecatory Prayers

This is WAR!

While praying together for the president my wife Shirley had a vision of a group of mighty men (intercessors) kneeling on one knee in a circle surrounding the president with their shields lifted high. The shields were their shields of faith and they were protecting the president from the many arrows that were being released against him from all directions. It was their faith that was deflecting the arrows aimed at the president and his presidency.

Although I saw this specifically referring to the group of men who pray together via a conference call on Tuesday evenings, there is no question the vision fits with everyone who is a part of the presidential prayer watch and all who are interceding for the president on a consistent basis.

The Apostle Paul in his letter to the church at Philippi acknowledged how they were living in the midst of what he described as a crooked and perverse generation. When you look at the meanings of these words you discover how this correctly defines these times as well.

For example, crooked refers to that which is warped, winding or perverse. Another word translated from crooked, froward’ means difficult to deal with, contrary, adverse, cross, headstrong, obstinate, stubborn and unyielding.

The word translated perverse comes from a word that means to distort, misinterpret and to be morally corrupt. When you understand how the entire impeachment process is nothing but a morally corrupt, warped, stubborn, perverse, obstinate attempt to misinterpret and distort the truth and blame the president for crimes that were actually committed (it’s even on video) by the last administration, it’s easy to come to the conclusion that you and I are living in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. Those behind the attempt to impeach the president, in congress and the media, are corrupt to the core deliberately misleading the public for their own political gain. To these the end always justifies the means regardless of the consequences to the nation.

When you understand that the goal ultimately is not the impeachment of a president but the enslavement of a nation, you begin to see just how serious these times are and why we cannot back down from this fight. Conservative actor and true patriot John Voight spoke the truth when he recently said, ‘this is WAR’.

In Revelation 12:15 we read, “So the serpent spewed water (words, lies, accusations, etc.) like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood”. Although it is true the serpent (the dragon) hated the woman, (was enraged), as stated in the text, those he most wanted were the ones “who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Rev 12:17). That’s the true remnant church!

God is sovereign and can do whatever He pleases but our sitting back doing nothing at this hour in American history would be like our failing to step out and rescue a small child preparing to walk across an interstate highway at rush hour. Our simply believing nothing bad could happen because we believe ‘God is in control’ would not save the child. While we believe in the sovereignty of God we also believe in the responsibility of man. As the saints of God in this day we are called to submit and draw near to God, but we are also called to resist the devil (James 4:7). As Edmund Burke reminded us, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

One day the Lord will come with ten thousands of His saints (believers) to, “execute judgment on all, to convict (to put to proof, to test, to pronounce and hold them guilty) all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him (Jesus)” (Jude 14-15).

I understand we each view this scripture through the eschatological lens we have been taught to wear, but I have to wonder if somehow this is similar to when the saints, with “a two-edged sword in their hand”, begin to “execute on them (the enemies of God and man) the written judgment (God’s Word)”. According to the Psalmist doing this is described as an honor belonging to “all His saints” (Ps 149:5-9) not for someday far into the future, but now.

We have been praying the imprecatory prayers from the Psalms for almost 2 and 1/2 years and God has heard and answered! Praying God’s word is one of the main ways we will fight the advancing spiritual darkness in these days.

I’ve included some additional imprecatory prayers from the Psalms in this update. Without changing any of the context of the scriptures I’ve inserted the president’s name in italics in the appropriate place. This is how we can pray the word making it personal and applicable to our individual circumstances. This is the hour we must passionately pray these prayers written in God’s word.

As we intercede lifting up our shields of faith, we also take heed to Paul’s advice by “holding fast the word of life” by wielding our swords, (the sword of the Spirit/the Word of God) “in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you (we) shine as lights in the world” (Philippian 2:15-16).

Thanks also to all who sent an email agreeing to fast to some extent on Wednesdays. Because Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on a Wednesday be free to enjoy those special days with family. The sons and daughters of God are led by the Spirit of God. If you don’t count New Year’s Day, there are still 43 Wednesday’s in 2020 before Election Day in November.

Blessings to each of you and Merry Christmas!

Announcing the Global Day2Pray for the Harvest Vision

If you are a pastor or ministry/intercessory prayer group leader please go to and check out the vision. Some of you are in a position to assist in this or pass the info on to someone who is.

This is different from the Presidential Prayer Watch but something the Lord has birthed in our hearts and we believe is in His.

At the very time the nations are in a rage and the people are plotting vain things, (see Psalm 2), the Lord instructs His people to “Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for Your inheritance” (the harvest).

The Global Day 2 Pray vision is about connecting the nations and building a 24/7 canopy of prayer globally for the harvest locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. It’s a big vision but He’s a big God and besides, ‘It’s Harvest Time’!

Thanks for passing this info on to your church and other contacts who would want to be a part! We are asking these groups/churches to pray from 2-24 hours one day a month! A number of groups from various nations are already praying.

Imprecatory Prayers to pray for the president from the Psalms:

Ps 144:5-8

“Bow down Your heavens, O Lord, and come down; Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Flash forth lightning and scatter them; Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them. Stretch out Your hand from above; Rescue President Trump and deliver him out of great waters, from the hand of foreigners, whose mouth speaks lying words, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.”

Ps 140:1-5

“Deliver the president, O Lord, from evil men; Preserve him from violent men, who plan evil things in their hearts; they continually gather together for war. They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; the poison of asps is under their lips. Keep the president, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve him from violent men, who have purposed to make his steps stumble. The proud have hidden a snare for him, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set traps for him.”

Ps 141:10

“Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while President Trump escapes safely.”

Ps 138:7-8

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save President Trump.

The Lord will perfect that which concerns him; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”

Ps 68:1-3

“Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.”

Ps 60:11-12

“Give President Trump help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.

Ps 57:4-6

“My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men who are set on fire, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth. They have prepared a net for the president’s steps; my soul is bowed down; they have dug a pit before him; into the midst of it they themselves have fallen.”

Ps 35:1-8

“Plead the president’s cause, O Lord, with those who strive with him; Fight against those who fight against him and our nation. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for his help. Also draw out the spear, and stop those who pursue him. Say to my soul, "I am your salvation." Let those be put to shame and brought to dishonor who seek after his life; Let those be turned back and brought to confusion who plot the president’s hurt. Let them be like chaff before the wind, and let the angel of the Lord chase them. Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the Lord pursue them. For without cause they have hidden their net for him in a pit, which they have dug without cause for his life. Let destruction come upon him unexpectedly, and let his net that he has hidden catch himself; into that very destruction let him fall.”

Ps 34:19-21

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.”

Ps 33:10-11

The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.”

Ps 28:3-5

“Do not take the president away with the wicked and with the workers of iniquity,

who speak peace to their neighbors, but evil is in their hearts. Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve. Because they do not regard the works of the Lord, nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them and not build them up.”

Ps 21:11-13

For they intended evil against You; they devised a plot which they are not able to perform. Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces. Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.”

Ps 20:6-9

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright. Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call.”

Ps 18:1-3

I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall the president and this nation be saved from my enemies.”

Ps 17:13-14

Arise, O Lord, confront him, cast him down; Deliver President Trumps life from the wicked with Your sword, with Your hand from men, O Lord, from men of the world who have their portion in this life,”

Ps 10:1-2

Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide in times of trouble? The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.”

Ps 7:14-17

Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. He made a pit and dug it out, and has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown. I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.”

Ps 3:7-8

Arise, O Lord; Save President Trump, O my God! For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone; You have broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon Your people.”
