When the enemy comes in like a flood,

The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19b)

The First Watch raises Gods standard for the rest of the NIGHTWATCH teams that will follow, praying through the night.

Please pray as you feel the Holy Spirit is leading you.  This guide is meant to provide a topical Watch focus as well as specific prayer points, as needed.  Thank you so much for your own service to the King during tonight’s NIGHTWATCH.

FOCUS VERSE: Psalm 24:4-5

“He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.”

1.  Examine our hearts in preparation to receive Communion; leader will serve;

2.  Repentance for sins within the Church and sins in the Nation;

3.  Pray that God will strengthen and encourage the hearts of His people in our nation;

4.  Pray for the Native Americans (believers and nonbelievers) in our land;

5.  Pulling down strongholds of occult activities in our nation that work to prevent the expansion of God’s Kingdom and hindering the harvest of souls;

6.  Ending with worship

Communion is a holy time of worship when we corporately come together as one body to remember and celebrate what Christ did for us. (1 Corinthians 11: 23-34)

At the beginning of tonights NIGHTWATCH, we pause and remember our Lord, and the Sacrifice He brought forth, so that we might be a pure, clean and Holy (consecrated) people before Him.  We invite Jesus Christ to be LORD over this NIGHTWATCH, and we invite His presence into our midst.

“A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup.” (1 Cor. 11:28)

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. . . . For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” (1 John 2:15-16)

Have a moment of personal repentance, asking for, giving and receiving forgiveness for our own thoughts or actions that do not align with His Word for our lives.

NOW PROCEEDING WITH COMMUNION, we remember the Body and the Blood of the Lamb.

THE BREAD:  “While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to His disciples, saying, ‘Take and eat; this is My body.(Pause and ask all to partake.)

THE CUP:  “Then He took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you.  This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.’”  (Matthew 26:26-28) (Pause for all to partake.)

We show our participation in the Body of Christ by observing Communion . His life becomes our life and we become members of each other:  Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks; a participation in the blood of Christ?  And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?  Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are One Body, for we all partake of the one loaf. (I Corinthians 10:16-17)

As you begin this Nightwatch, please settle your hearts by singing God Bless America, which can be heard at the following link:

WE PRAY FOR EACH OTHER in our time on the NIGHTWATCH, covering ourselves and those who will follow us in prayer tonight with His precious Shed Blood, Psalm 91 and the full Armor of God.

See the following website for more:

PUT ON THE ARMOR OF GOD by decreeing Ephesians 6: 13-17

PSALM 91: Please decree out loud over Ourselves, our Government and our Nation

“For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (I Peter 4:17)

Deuteronomy 28 explains how many ways God blesses a nation whose heart pursues Him and the knowledge of His Ways.  In the same chapter there are three times as many verses to show what tragic results accumulate for the nation that turns its back on the Lord God Almighty.  In essence, this passage explains the “crop” we will reap one way or the other.

The Lord Jesus prayed on the night He was betrayed “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (John 17:21)  Let us repent for the spirit of jealousy against ministries as well as judgments against other churches that believe differently.  Pray for a spirit of repentance, for many souls are being lost for eternity because, as a Body, we are starting to “have left our first love.” (Revelation 2:4) Put a shield of honor around the churches and ministries that bear the fruit of God, so that we all may be One in Christ as He is in His Father.

Repent for idolatry, lawlessness, sexual immorality and unrighteous deeds (sins) that exist within the Body of Christ.  May there be a shift in the Kingdom of God towards righteousness, justice and personal responsibility within the entire body of Christ.

“I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh...” (Galatians 5:16)

“Do you not know, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)

Also include Galatians 5:19-23 as you transition from the above to the next.

”And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16,17)

Pray for a return to the Lord as our first love.  Isaiah 33:6 (NIV) says, “He will be the sure foundation for your time, a rich store of salvation, and wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure.”

"...blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD." (Psalm 33:12a)

"So you shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood defiles the land, and no atonement can be made for the land..." (Numbers 35:33)

There are many things we can repent for in this nation.  But this one thing will bring judgment to our land more quickly than any other.  Blood cries out from the land to God (Gen 4:10, Ps. 106:38); blood defiles our land; and bloodshed is defiling our nation by way of abortion.  We must start here and repent for the shedding of innocent blood.  Ask the Lord to cleanse our land of this defilement and take out the culture of death and bring in a culture of Life.

Repent for:  *lack of courage toward our God and His word; *the acceptance of humanism and worldly perspectives; *willful ignorance of community, state and national affairs; *looking to government unbelievers for answers; *passively or actively supporting evil leaders; *persecuting Christians and supporting those who do; *calling evil good and good evil; *neglecting the poor, the widows and the orphans.  Let each one of us remember that repentance begins with each one of us.

In closing, may we encourage you to read through this Declaration of Repentance for the United States of America, developed by intercessors in the State of Alaska.  Thank you and Amen.

Additionally, please take an opportunity to visit the website for the National Day of Repentance, developed by Pastor Jeff Daly, that we may see purity flow across our nation.  See it at the following:

Remember that no matter what, Our Lord, Father, Savior and Friend who knows the hearts of all (Acts 1:24) completely loves His bride.  Ask our King to strengthen the hearts of His people in our land, that we not grow weary in well doing but trust Him in all things.  Decree Psalm 121 over the Body of Christ in America --

1I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help?

2My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

3He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.

4Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

6The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.

7The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

8The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in; From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Please pray into this declaration made by Dr. Negiel Bigpond in Washington DC, October 2016.  The full article may be seen at the following website:

According to Dr. Bigpond, Billy Graham said: “The Native American is a sleeping giant. He is awakening. The original Americans could become the evangelist who will help win America for Christ.”

Bigpond said he and others gathered in the nation’s capital will offer this prayer, in part:

“We the people, the host people of this great nation and the original lovers of this land, stand united with one heart and mind to bring the power of forgiveness to bear. As the host people of Turtle Island (the Earth), we forgive every atrocity and broken covenant ever designed to destroy us as a race of people. We break every curse, and renounce every lie, purposed to decimate us as human beings. We forgive the government, the church, and the educational system for the use of residential schools that attempted to destroy our culture and silence our voice as people by stealing our language.

“We stand in the gap for those who are unable or unwilling to forgive, and call upon the master of life to forgive us for harboring unforgiveness, resentment, hatred, bitterness and rage; We repent of every curse spoken over America by our ancestors and we release the power of forgiveness to bring healing and the peace of Creator God to this land. ... not returning evil for the evil perpetuated against us, but on the contrary we choose to release a blessing, knowing that the father of us all has called us as his children to bless and not curse, that we may inherit a blessing.”

Tammy Russell, Bigpond’s daughter who works closely with him, said: “We feel once this forgiveness happens, there will be a great awakening. This is the time for the Native American sleeping giant to awaken. This is the beginning point.”

Sadly, our people rarely honor our Native American friends, nor are they acknowledged as those who can truly claim “first rights” to our land.  Tragic slaughters and betrayals between tribes and immigrants have stained the land.  Repentance, forgiveness and cleansing from sin can bring new life to our land and to all her peoples.

So, we want to BEGIN each NIGHTWATCH by clearly HONORING our First Nations people on the land, and by thanking God for the many believers who are members of the many tribes still living in America today.  We stand in agreement with Romans 13:7:  “Render therefore to all their due: . . . respect to whom respect, honor to whom honor.”  May God bless and fulfill His Kingdom purpose in all of your lives now . . . and forever!  AMEN!

“Father, as we stand watch through the night for our nation, we thank You that we can also stand watch alongside the native gatekeepers of our land.  And, as they intercede for the healing of their own people, may we also intercede in agreement, and for the healing of Your church, and our Nation.  In JesusName we offer this prayer, Amen.”

As we address the difficult and sensitive topic of praying about the issue of false religious gods in our nation, the demonic and the occultic rituals that accompany them, we must remember that Christ died that all may be saved.

"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." (I Timothy 1:15)

He is not a respecter of persons; His blood was shed for ALL and covers every saint with His light and power.

"On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Mark 2:17)

Also, because this issue is one of intense spiritual warfare, there may be some among us who do not feel comfortable in addressing this topic. If you are one of those saints, we do extend grace to you and invite you to stand down from pursuing this issue any further tonight.

For those of you who feel the Lord's peace to "plunge in" and join us in dismantling occultic strongholds in America so that these captives can be set free, please go to this link to do so.

We encourage you to spend some time reviewing the online document below if you are willing and able to participate in tearing down and undermining the plans and schemes of the evil one, also known as the destroyer, the accuser, the liar and murderer and thief.  You will find instructions, prayers, guidance and encouragement.  Always remember that we are covered by the precious blood of Jesus.

"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." (Luke 19:10)

(Sing it out loud, saints of God! Lets just praise the Lord!)

Oh, the blood of Jesus,

Oh, the blood of Jesus,

Oh, the blood of Jesus,

it cleanses white as snow.

There is power, power, power, power,

Wonder working pow'r,

In the blood, in the blood, of the Lamb, of the Lamb,

There is power, power, power, power,

Wonder working pow'r,

In the precious blood of the Lamb.
