Presidential Prayer Update 1-18-2019

(Update – 1/18/19)

Presidential Prayer Watch Intercessors,

As expected the spiritual battles underway against President Trump are only increasing. The goal of course is to either remove him from office or at the least render him ineffective until 2020. He needs prayer more than ever.

I thank you for your perseverance and faithfulness to this mission. The very soul of our nation is at stake. The church and in particular the intercessors really are the last line of defense. We can’t grow weary in well doing nor can we allow the constant barrage of misinformation disillusion or discourage us. This is all part of the battle. For us there is no plan B.

As you may be aware we are seeking to raise up a small group of mighty men of prayer and faith as a part of the overall vision and under the umbrella of the Presidential Prayer Watch. That effort is underway and I am confident as Zechariah describes that God “will whistle for them and gather them” (Zechariah 10:8). However as revealed in II Chronicles 23 everyone was to continue to keep the watch of the Lord.

A smaller group, the Levites, were to surround the king on all sides and were commissioned to protect the king. At the same time they were given the authority to bring down Athaliah, the daughter of Jezebel.

This same spirit is no doubt some of what is behind the assault against President Trump and our nation. It’s interesting how Jezebel’s daughter accused the new king of ‘Treason! Treason!’ (II Chron 23:13) It sounds a little like the Russian collusion hoax. It’s amazing how the devils tactics often remain the same throughout history.

The truth is God is raising up both mighty men and women in this hour! These are spoken of in Zechariah 10:5.

“They shall be like mighty men, who tread down their enemies. In the mire of the streets of the battle. They shall fight because the Lord is with them”

Later in the passage we read where, “Yes, their children shall see it and be glad; their heart shall rejoice and be glad” (verse 7). Be assured that what we do or don’t do today will have a profound effect on generations to come, (our children and grandchildren), should the Lord’s coming continue to tarry.

Please continue to draw from the prayer targets printed on the web site. We are seeing many answers!

In closing I want to include something my wife Shirley saw while recently praying for the president. It’s a further reminder of how we must pray for him to have much humility and wisdom in every move he makes in this critical hour.

While praying for the President, I was asking the Lord to give the President Trump a humble heart, that he would seek the Lord in everything. I prayed the President would realize that it was not his intellect that would guide him in picking the right path but the Lord would show him what to do.

Immediately I saw an image of what looked like a scene from an Indiana Jones movie. The steps all looked equally bad or good. At one point there was no path at all but when the President was fully trusting the Lord only the right steps could be seen.

This was repeated by another scene from the movie. This was the time when Indiana Jones was in a large underground cavern and came to the end of the path. There was a great ravine that separated him from the other side. Jones had to take a step by blind faith and found there was an invisible bridge of which he could cross.

For the President, there will be times he must seek the Lord with a humble heart and then take steps by blind faith. I saw that when he did this that wherever he placed his foot the step would light up and could be seen. This happened only after he took the step. The steps lighting up will be seen by those who have eyes to see and will be a confirmation of what the President is doing. While Indiana Jones had a straight bridge to get across to the other side, the path for the President zig zagged in an unpredictable manner. Sometimes even going in the opposite direction.

The President knows the goals for this country but he does not know how to reach them. He cannot rely solely on his experience and intellect but must seek the Lord for each step no matter what it looks like in the natural. Any mistakes are certain death and can bring about perilous times.

God Bless each of you!
