When and Where?

For many years, we have given people the opportunity to join our church through membership. But joining a church or being a member seems to have implications about what we gain instead of about what we give. What if we joined a movement? What if we partnered together around the same vision and mission? What if each of us owned that vision and mission equally? What if each of us gave our life to fulfill them? These are the type of questions that pushed us to think differently.

The vision of The Gathering Church is “Loving People (Each Important). Discovering Truth (Each Improving). Building Communities (Each Impacting).” Our mission is "to bring holistic liberty to individuals through loving God, connecting believers, and training them for service to impact their world." We would like to invite you to partner with us in accomplishing this mission. Pray about it deeply and ask yourself if this is the mission you can give your life too? We are excited to see what WE can accomplish TOGETHER in Chirst!

Why do you need a spiritual family?
  1. YOU NEED HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS.
    "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the one who falls and has no one to help him up!" - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
  2. YOU NEED A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN USE YOUR GIFTS.
    "Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you..." - 1 Timothy 4:14
  3. YOU NEED A PLACE WHERE YOU CAN GROW.
    "They joined with the other believers and devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, sharing in the breaking of bread and prayer." - Acts 2:42
  4. YOU NEED TO BELONG TO SOMETHING BIGGER THAN YOURSELF.
    "Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." - Romans 12:4-5
  5. YOU NEED A PLACE TO BELONG.
    "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another…" - Hebrews 10:25

What are the personal requirements for membership @ The Gathering Church?

  1. SALVATION - a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  2. BAPTISM - adult believers baptism by immersion.
  3. TWO months of faithful attendance @ The Gathering Church.

What are the steps in The Gathering Church's membership process?

  1. Sign-up online below or call the church office at (201) 546-1645.
  2. Attend Membership Workshop / Interview.
  3. Sign the Membership Covenant.
